Gold Coast Water - Network Modifications, Extension and Connections

Consultation has concluded

The City of Gold Coast (City) is responsible for providing water, recycled water and sewerage services to customers across the Gold Coast.

The Network Modifications, Extension and Connections Policy and Procedure provide information on connecting to the City’s infrastructure and the connection areas.

The main objectives are to:

  • protect the health and safety of the community;
  • ensure water, sewerage and recycled water services support city growth;
  • inform customers of the City’s Network Connection Areas, and
  • inform customers of the Procedure for connecting to the City’s water, sewerage and recycled water networks.

The following amendments have recently been made to the Network Modifications, Extension and Connections Policy and Procedure:

  • To include the removed administrative guidelines from the Land Development Guidelines.
  • Remove duplication in the City’s documents.
  • Include missing technical requirements not contained in the SEQ Design & Construction Code.
  • Detail on approved meter sizes.
  • Sub-metering requirements.
  • Build near infrastructure that is not covered in the Queensland Development Code.
  • Interfering with the City’s infrastructure.
