City of Gold Coast Koala Friends Registration

The City of Gold Coast, in partnership with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Wildcare Australia, has developed a Koala Friends Program for Elanora and Currumbin Waters, Burleigh Ridge, and Coomera Waters. These programs help inform and empower residents to take action, whether big or small, to ensure the long-term survival of the koala population in their program area. Membership of the Koala Friends Program is free. Members receive an information pack about koalas and koala conservation, up-to-date information on what is happening in the local koala population and invitations to local koala community events. Further information and assistance may be provided to those members who wish to implement actions in their own backyards to assist koala conservation. To register your interest in the program, please provide your details and an indication of your particular interests below. An officer will be in contact to confirm registration of your expression of interest and provide more information about the program.
