Draft Outdoor Dining Guideline

Consultation has concluded

Outdoor dining.

The Gold Coast’s sub-tropical climate makes it an ideal location for outdoor dining, providing an enhanced experience for patrons and contributing to the streetscape.

Well planned and maintained outdoor dining areas provide a link between businesses and pedestrians and when grouped together, cafés with outdoor dining areas can create a thriving and vibrant culture.

City of Gold Coast (City) encourages café and restaurant operators to create outdoor dining areas that are inviting, contemporary, engaging and attractive.
