New transport strategy to combat congestion

Council released the draft Gold Coast City Transport Strategy 2031 for community consultation. Community feedback from earlier this year helped shape the draft strategy. We then asked for further input from residents to help shape the city’s transport system over the next 20 years.

The public consultation has now closed. During the consultation phase Council asked the community to provide their feedback through a range of different ways including:

  • Reviewing the draft Gold Coast Transport Strategy 2031
  • Completing a quick poll
  • Completing the online survey
  • Attending a 'Kombi Konversation' held throughout the Gold Coast
  • Adding comments to the discussion forum

The community engagement phase started on 16 October and closed on 23 November 2012.
